There are a large range of benefits for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples when it comes to playing a sport or participating in physical activity. While this website only dives into three of these benefits, it is important to understand that there are many more benefits, stressing the importance of participating in a sport and why barriers in sport must be overcome and understood, and initiatives for First Nations sport must be better supported.

By closing the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, these benefits will be able to be maximised for First Nations peoples.
